Rashad M. Robinson, known professionally as SpeedyFlicks, is a self-taught photographer from Prince George’s County, Maryland, whose work is centered around creativity and storytelling.Inspired early by the visual language of early 2000s music videos and countless hours spent in museums. Robinson learned to use imagery as a way to communicate emotion before words.After graduating from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania in 2019 with a degree in Criminal Justice, Robinson returned home to find his mother had purchased a small Canon camera originally meant to capture family moments. What was looked at as a simple tool sparked something deeper within him. Photographing his sister’s prom became a turning point revealing that photography isn’t just a form of documentation but as a form of self-expression. Taking an unorthodox path, Robinson approaches photography with patience and purpose. His work is a reflection of self, capturing moments that feel personal, authentic, and honest to the audience they’re intended for.
